Bridge Boston Charter School is a tuition-free public school, chartered in February, 2011 and opened in September of 2011. Today, we have 192 students enrolled in pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade and Third Grade. In future years, we will add one grade per year until we reach maturity with 335 students in pre-Kindergarten through grade 8. Our educational philosophy focuses on:

  • A comprehensive, individualized, rigorous academic program that both teaches basic skills and pushes students to develop rich intellectual lives.
  • An intentional focus on the elimination of barriers to learning through vibrant community partnerships that allow Bridge Boston Charter School to meet the health and social service needs of our students.
  • A deliberate, thoughtful, nurturing community in which each child and adult is known, encouraged, and supported.

We are very pleased to partner with Boston Public Schools to lease the former Endicott school building in Dorchester. We are also very grateful to Second Church of Dorchester, for enabling us to house our third grade students and staff while we work diligently to build a permanent home.

Our lottery will take place on March 12 from 5:45pm-7:15pm.  If you submitted an application, you should expect a confirmation letter in the mail by Friday, March 6th which will provide a randomly assigned number.  This is the number that will be drawn on the day of the lottery in order to protect your child’s privacy. There is no need to attend the actual lottery.  We will call those who are offered a spot soon after the lottery.

If you have already applied to the school in the past, please do not apply again.  Your child has been added to our waitlist and we will contact you when your child reaches the top of the waitlist.

If you do not receive a letter in the mail by Thursday, March 5th, it is important that you contact Operations Manager, Jeremy Stryer, at the school by Monday, March 8th.  Contact Jeremy Stryer at or 857-229-1601 ext 20 by Monday, March 8th before resubmitting the application.
