Bridge Boston Charter School is a tuition-free public school, chartered in February, 2011 and opened in September of 2011. Today, we have over 230 students enrolled in pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade, and Fourth Grade. In future years, we will add one grade per year until we reach maturity with 335 students in pre-Kindergarten through grade 8. Our educational philosophy focuses on:
- A comprehensive, individualized, rigorous academic program that both teaches basic skills and pushes students to develop rich intellectual lives.
- An intentional focus on the elimination of barriers to learning through vibrant community partnerships that allow Bridge Boston Charter School to meet the health and social service needs of our students.
- A deliberate, thoughtful, nurturing community in which each child and adult is known, encouraged, and supported.
We are very pleased to partner with Boston Public Schools to lease the former Endicott school building in Dorchester. We are also very grateful to St. Mark’s Parish of Dorchester, for enabling us to house our second through fourth grade students and staff while we work diligently to build a permanent home.
